RN Job:
The Informatics RN will meet the needs of the Information Technology
Department by providing a variety of professional information
systems support and/or consulting services for a defined system
project, and/or multiple Information Systems projects, and operational
systems. The Informatics RN provides and coordinates a variety
of administrative, operational, and/or educational services pertaining
to specific Information Technology projects and/or existing systems.
The Informatics RN extracts and analyzes data from several sources
and/or systems to meet internal and external reporting requirements.
The Informatics RN participates as needed on Information Services
projects for the purpose of analyzing, evaluating, researching,
and implementing new systems. Participates in go-live support
of other hospitals. The Informatics RN interacts with departments
and acts a liaison between the hospital and Help Desk. The
Informatics RN opens tickets with Corporate Information Technology
and monitors the status. The Informatics RN participates in clinical
systems selection, design, and recommendations for change and
independently provides oversight and support of systems. The Informatics
RN maintains and supports system master files and procedures as
required. The Informatics RN maintains positive relationships
with physicians, clinical and non-clinical staff, vendors, and
staff as appropriate to maintain a high level of quality support
and assists in operational and system issues across multi-disciplinary
departments. The Informatics RN maintains current knowledge of
JCAHO, SOX, HIPAA, federal, state, and local requirements and
demonstrates knowledge in system implementations, ongoing support,
and system enhancements. The Informatics RN assists departments
in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Informatics
RN develops, enhances, and provides training programs for new
hires, new systems, and programs as needed to maintain user competency
with existing system utilization.
